Midwives have a good impact on mothers’ and babies’ health. They do a great job in saving humanity. As they facilitate the births of children and saving mothers, they are playing a great role with the Creator of the universe.

Midwives save lives.
They offer critical medical care.
They are acknowledged as critical defenders of the rights of women.
There’s a shortage in midwives the world over.

The decline in maternal and newborn deaths has been largely due to midwifery care.

According to the UN, quality midwifery care reduces maternal and stillbirths by 80%. Yet hundreds of women with little medical care die during pregnancy or during child birth.

According to the UN reports, “303,000 women and about 2.7 million newborn babies died in 2015 alone… For every woman who dies in childbirth, an estimated 20 to 30 encounter injuries, infections or disabilities during labour.”

Reports say, due to lack of medical and midwifery care, 30 million women do not give birth in a health facility and 45 million receive inadequate ante-natal care. It is also reported that there is great lack of midwives.
In rural areas, untrained midwives often err in the process of helping labour-related cases.
