Charlie Chaplain would make people burst into laughter even while he bites down his pain.
He also said: I like to walk in the rain so that others may not see my tears. Only Charlie Chaplain could do that!

A group of rich wandering grown up kids walked towards a park for celebrating laughter. As they walked along, they saw a poor old man sitting on the footpath selling balloons. One of the guys gave a kick to the balloons and laughed with a guffaw. Some balloons went up in the air. Some got stuck under the tyres of moving vehicles. The bursting sound of the balloons made the guys roar with laughter. It was fun and laughter all the way.

A poor beggar kid sitting a little far way was watching the theatrics and the painful expression of the old man. With streaming tears from his own eyes, the poor child collected the rest of the balloons and gave them to the old man. With joy and tears the old man hugged the kind child. And a smile sprouted on the face of the old man as he planted a kiss on the benefactor. In the background one could hear the guffaws and megaphone laughter of those young thugs.

Once I heard a so-called Sadguru telling his devotees that laughter is the best medicine for all ills in life. And instructed them to laugh all day. But he missed out poverty as one of the ills in society.

When you have a tasty meal three times a day and delicacies in between, you can relish a good laugther in satisfaction. Some have even cultivated the habit of bursting with a guffaw at every word or remark without even waiting to know the context. Once a man even gaffowed when he heard that his mother had passed away. Unfortunately, the voice at the other end was not audible enough. The rest is for your imagination.

Those of us who celebrate laughter should also give a kind thought as how to make the poor and explited masses laugh. By dangling carrots in front of them or showing them a magic trick? Deranged politicians do that. But, if you are genuinely serious, you would help tackle root causes of poverty and exploitation. You put your thinking cap on.Your tools can be an act of courage to stand for truth or call a spade or spade. Or speaking up, or using soicial media platform, etc.

Smile and laughter are not the birth right of only the rich and the mighty.

Some smile and laugh as a facade or to hide their shame or pain. Some have the guts to laugh at themselves. We are living in a funny world, said the funny man!
