Often people think of wildlife as the resort of wild animals.

But, in fact, wildlife refers to the undomesticated animals, birds, creeping beings etc., uncultivated plant species and all organisms in the wildlife resort.

There are very many benefits in promoting and preserving wildlife.

Wildlife promotes balance in our ecosystem. It provides a healthy ecosystem with its rich biodiversity. As a great source of nutrients to humans, it is a blessing. Its diversity of plant life provides a rich harvest of medicines. Down through the centuries, medicinal plants have enriched human and animal life. Indigenous people’s liberal use of herbal plants has provided them with immunity and a healthy life. Allopathy and other systems of medicine use plant extract as one important source to prepare medicines.
Plants are part of cultural life of indigenous and other communities as trees, flowers and plants are used in rituals rites.
Wildlife conservation and sustainable management afford millions of jobs for humans.

People find wildlife a source of mental health and recreation.

Let us appreciate wildlife as part of God’s creation and promote a healthy biodiversity. Be proactive. Next time you come across wild life, say ‘Hello’ or ‘How are you’? Start a chat, and feel the effect in you!
