Teacher’s Day reminds us of the guiding role of teachers in shaping lives. In the tribal context of Jharkhand, teachers are more than educators—they are mentors, storytellers, and cultural bearers. For generations, tribal communities have learned values, traditions, and wisdom from elders around the fire, in the fields, and through songs and rituals. Today, formal teachers in schools continue this mission by blending knowledge of books with respect for indigenous heritage.
On this day, we remember that education is not just about literacy, but also about nurturing identity, dignity, and hope. A good teacher in Jharkhand uplifts children from remote villages, encourages them to dream, and at the same time, strengthens their roots in tribal culture. Thus, Teacher’s Day is both a celebration of academic learning and a call to preserve the wisdom of our ancestors through dedicated teaching.
