Santal Mission, founded by veteran Jesuit priest Fr. Anthony Debono in 1925, celebrates its Centenary Jubilee on 1 March 2025.
Debono and his colleagues from Sicily and Malta did the spadework and continued to nourish it for more than half a century. Then they handed it over to Indian hands in the form of Dumka-Raiganj Province, covering Jharkhand, West Bengal and Purnea (Bihar).
Respectful gratitude to all those who sowed the seeds of the Good News, watered and nourished to full bloom.
Congratulations to Fr. Provincial K. C. Stephen and all the Province men who shoulder the onerous task of continuing the noble Gospel service.
