There is no one unique culture in the world. Cultures are diverse. Each culture has its own characteristic. Its own pastern, its on DNA.
For the sake of world harmony, peace and development it is imperative that we celebrate different cultures by appreciating their presence, their nuances, their good values.
When some people or communities display arrogance and look upon some other cultures as less valuable, then the problem begins. Because of it, visceral hatred, quarrels, fights, wars etc. are unleashed and cause making innocent people suffer.
Economic exploitation, social exploitation, and social marginalisation and even religious fundamentalism can be one byproduct of the devaluation of other cultures.
When one nation wants to raise its ugly head by imposing its political and cultural hegemony on a weaker nation, such action demonstrates a demoniac mindset. West Asia wars, attempts to wipe out Palestinian nation, destruction of Ukraine and such other mindless actions are part of the naked thrust of political and cultural hegemony.
As long as politicians of such a genre strut on the stage, culture may be decimated or destroyed. We need to question such mindlessness.
Let people to learn to respect what is noble in cultures, dialogue with them to build a world of peace, development and prosperity.
“Cultural differences should not separate us from each other, but rather cultural diversity brings a collective strength that can benefit all of humanity…
Intercultural dialogue is the best guarantee of a more peaceful, just and sustainable world. (Robert Alan Aurthur
