Of the buzzing bee
Its buzz is music to the ears!
Today, 20th May, we are invited to watch, listen to and appreciate a friend in nature, the honeybee.
It is our food supplier friend, a farmer’s comrade.
As supplier of honey, as pollinator of plant species, it is one one of the movers and shakers of the world.
It is said that the bee may travel upto five kilometers in the process of pollination and nectar gathering. Not an easy job! There are 20,000 be species.
Its contribution to the agri-food system, eco-climatic health and bio-diversity promotion is immense. It is medicine provider too.
Today, due to indiscriminate use of fertilizers, environmental pollution, electronic invasion and climate change, bees are facing a challenge to thier existence.
Advice from the bee:
Create a buzz
Not a fuss!
Sip life’s nectar
Stick to the honey
Be at home with your sweet home
Mind your own ‘buzzness
Bee yourself!
