This day’s celebration calls for ensuring a healthy work environment. Workers are the one ones who help to keep our world going. No work, no food in your plate; no work and your kitchen or your factory will come to a standstill. From house cleaning to top executive level work, human machines do their role.

But they are not just human machines. They are people with body, mind, heart, and a family. They have their physical needs, mental, psychological and social needs. That is where a healthy environment is needed.

Global work related acvidents are said to be 19% globally. In countries where workers are made to get into huge drainage pipes to clean tbe muck, imagine the health hazards.

Work-related injuries, accidents, illness, and deaths do happen. They cannot be swept under the carpets. Appropriate legislation and implementation are needed.

Reports say about 65,000 people die every day due to work related accidents.

Live and let live, folks!
