There is no human community without children. We all pass through childhood.
Some of us grown ups look back to our childhood with happy memories. Some others bite down painful moments.
Some rollerskated in the lap of luxury. Some others think of childhood as moments of agony, neglect, lack of tender loving care.
Today’s children may not be very different. Comfort and luxury belong to some as if their birthright. Many children never see lady fortune smiling at them.
Children dream dreams! Children weave hopes. Let us not disappoint them.
They are human. They have their needs. They have their human and fundamental rights.
“History will judge us by the difference we make in the everyday lives of children.” Nelson Mandela
