According to the U N, “Despite a shortage of skills in most of the technological fields driving the Fourth Industrial Revolution, women still account for only 28% of engineering graduates and 40% of graduates in computer science and informatics.”
Women have a great role to play in the digital revolution and in the field of AI (Artificial Intelligence).
Scientific knowledge will enable them to resist superstitions in society, particularly against women and children.
Rural and illiterate women should be exposed to scientific understanding of life cycle, health care, hygiene, child care, causes of diseases, epidemics, and the like.
Political will is needed to promote the contribution of women and girls in science.
