5 September is the day dedicated to celebrate Teachers’ Day in India. This day we remember Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan whose birth anniversary is 5th September. Our first Vice President and second President of India, he was a renowned scholar and Bharat Ratna recipient.
Teachers are those who accompany us in the process of our learning. They walk with us, as it were, as our guides to help us see the wonders of the world, wonders of intellectual, logical and scientific world. They open our minds to express our emotions, express our sympathy and empathy to express fellowship and human concern irrespective of caste, colour or creed.
They help us to exercise our brain to think logically, reason realistically and plan scientifically. Theirs is a noble service. They deserve our love and affection. They deserve our care and concern.
We wish them well. We pray that their lives be secure and peaceful, happy and contented.
