Senior citizens! Men and women who have shouldered responsibilities for decades in caring for children, family and the nation.
Seniority catches with them. Advancing age withers them. They are in the twilight of life. They deserve care and affection. Not just accommodation.
They need to be respected as people who have walked the path of life so long. They have weathered storms and tsunamis of life. They have faced uphill climbs and downhill slopes. They have lots of memories to share. Inspiring as they are!
Now they are with us. We need their blessings that we may have their courage to face the winding paths of life, not to duck under cover when wind and rain lash at us.
We need their good will vibrations so that we can merit living in peace and fellowship. We need their blessings so that our children, our juniors may not treat us as strangers. That our dear ones may not just have accommodative attitudes but hearts throbbing with affection, care and concern. We need their blessings so that we may not stumble and fall along the wayside of life. That we too may reach a pleasant twilight time before we wing off to eternity! Hail senior citizens!
