The International Day of Light reminds us that light plays an important role in the various fields of our life span: in science, culture and art, education, and sustainable development, and in fields as diverse as medicine, communications, and energy.

Let us use science to enjoy the benefits of light. The light of science should dispel the darkness of our minds enslaved to superstition and weird beliefs.
