On 4 May the World brings into our focus the tough and risky profession of coal miners and fire fighters. They sacrifice their lives for our sake. Coal miners dig out coal so that our factories may work, our trains run, our food gets cooked.
The fire-fighters risk their lives to save people and property engulfed by fire. In the process many of them die.
We salute the coal miners and fire fighters today for their dedication, for their sacrifice. They are our heroes.
